Doing more with the same team
Research, reporting and operations work that a small team did by hand, rebuilt as AI skills the team now runs and extends itself.

A lean team carrying a large book
The family office manages $400m from Sydney with a deliberately small team. Every new opportunity arrives with a data room, every reporting cycle needs the numbers pulled together, and the same people run operations and finance in between.
Most of the time went on reading and assembling, not deciding. Analysts worked through data rooms and outside sources by hand before analysis could start. Reporting meant bringing large data sets together again each cycle. Operational and finance tasks moved between systems that did not talk to each other.
The question was not whether to use AI but where it would give the most leverage, and how to make it stick with the team rather than with one or two enthusiasts.
Decide what should be deterministic
We worked across four areas at once: research, data and reporting, systems integration, and team capability. Each started with a real piece of the team's work, not a demonstration.
The central design choice in every build was what should be deterministic and what should be agentic. Calculations, reconciliations and report assembly run as fixed steps that give the same answer every time. Reading, summarising and judgement on unstructured material go to agents, with their sources shown so an analyst can check the work.
Skills the team runs itself
Each workstream produced working skills on the tools the team already uses, documented so the team can maintain and extend them without us.
- Research
- Skills that draw on multiple data sources, including data rooms, and distil large volumes of documents into a structured first pass for the analyst.
- Data
- Pipelines that ingest and prepare large data sets, so analysis starts from consistent inputs rather than a fresh spreadsheet.
- Reporting
- Automated reporting, with dashboards and business intelligence refreshed from source rather than rebuilt each cycle.
- Integration
- Deterministic and agentic skills connected across the systems that run the business, supporting operations and FinOps.
- Training
- Sessions for the whole team on the best use cases, where the tools give real leverage, and how to build their own skills.
More output from the same team
Workstreams delivered in one engagement: research, data and reporting, integration, and training.
Data room review now starts from a structured summary of the documents, with sources, instead of a blank page.
Reporting refreshes from source. The team reviews the numbers rather than assembling them.
Routine operations and finance tasks run across connected systems, with agents used only where judgement is needed.
The whole team, not only the early adopters, knows where the tools earn their place and can build new skills on the same pattern.
